Juiciness test

Today I started a juice cleanse. Inspired by my bestie back home in London, we're doing a global detox together. Both of us having experience in the juice fasting process & both excited & scared of the emotional & physical rollercoaster we have just boarded. But we know there's enlightenment at the end of the tunnel. Not sure how long we're gonna be riding the healthy train but I believe that it's an amazing way to remind yourself how good it feels to feed your body nutrient rich foods & how your body & mind responds. However it's a rocky journey & there may be a little rain before it shines!!!
I went to an amazing retreat in Mullumbimby NSW to do a 7 day fast in the past, with the tranquil surroundings & support of the clinic I still went through some serious side effects, massive mood swings & night terrors! Yeh can't wait for this again! & with a crazy busy work week we will see!
Anyways I started the day with a  hot water & lemon then a lush juicy juice of ...
2 pink lady apples
1 lime peeled
1" ginger
2 carrots
3 sticks celery
Then I went for a rad run of 18k. I enjoyed the sun & felt good =) I even clocked a fast(ish) 4k lap in 19mins28secs & soaked up some essential vitamin D as I was out there for a couple of hours. & when I got back I had my sweeeet smoothie of ...
1 banana
Cup frozen blueberries
Cup almond milk
Dessert spoon chia seeds
Tsp vital greens
So I have been listening to sonar radio daydreaming of the amazing days I had there in Barcelona, dancing all night to electro, sipping booze in the sunshine at sonar by day, sultry summers in an amazing city of cool, nights of fun with friends & crystal naughtiness. However today I have been sketching for work, not quite the hedonism of a few years back on this Sunday! & then I made green souper soup ...
Head of broccoli
1 courgette
1 leek
1 white onion
8 asparagus spears
3 sticks celery
2 cloves garlic
200g green beans
200g peas
Bunch fresh basil
Sea salt & black pepper
Soooo yum & I think I may feel better tomorrow morning than I did waking up on a beach the day after the party!!! The misty memories of the walks up las ramblas, still buzzing from the techno as the sun rose every day will always bring a smile to my face. Hippos with horns haha!! I'm luving my kitchen rave I'm having with Paul Kalkbrenner on sonar radio right now anyhow. & all good natural energy to bounce with from all the superfood fresh fruit & veggies. Day 1 went ok, yay to the yay ^.~
