Learning...

Learning is one of the greatest gifts in life. I learned a lot last month, here are some of my lessons / blessings.

* I am not invincible but I am incredible! - My joint injury inherently showed my body has weakness, I gave my body the best possible treatment & nourishment, which gave me the strength to run 70ks last weekend, that is pretty awesome I think!

* Always listen to your inner wisdom, your intuition is 100% right. - I knew I shouldn't have lifted the old sewing machine that way (the wrong way) that little voice in my head told me so. & wow, the pain also showed me so. I endeavour to follow my sixth sense.

* If you are feeling less than 100% - REST. Your body will thank you for it by recovering stronger. - When I was struck down with flu I struggled through, I would have been much better off tucked up in bed, I would have recovered much quicker. & been much happier in the interim!

* The human body & mind are your most amazing creation, put it to good use. - the energy that exuded from me last Sunday propelled me to some important smart decision making in my work, that time spent running / focused, gave me creative thought making mind tools.

* I am smarter than I gave myself credit for. - we always put ourselves down, we wouldn't speak to a friend/colleague like how we berate ourselves, give yourself a compliment & some encouragement.

* Running really does make my heart soar. - in every sense, I was listening to music during my mega run last week, I felt so uplifted when the Lion King's 'circle of life' came on!! (I just lost my cool factor yeh) I felt beyond alive, my heart was exploding pink sunbeams to the world. For real.

* If you really want something, you will find a way. - 4 weeks ago I was down & out. I was in pain, one of my legs was literally longer then the other, I was completely out of alignment. I nourished & I nurtured. I regrouped, my joint recovered & I redefined my impossible.

* A fresh whole food diet increases happiness. - I promised to nourish, giving myself as much nutritional luv, fresh, whole foods, raw, vegan, balanced, healthy diet as I can possibly give my body & in return it thrived, I fuelled my body with plant based goodness.

* It's never too late to live a life you're proud of. - I have pretty much given up the toxic vices of my younger days, yet feel more youthful & I am finding more truth & meaning in every day. Running/yoga make me a better human being.

* You need to give yourself a purpose. A friend had been suffering last week, I told her I was running for her, I meant it, I wanted to show her that anything is possible. Believe. Be.

* The power of now. We have to be present. I have so much planning to do for work, thinking ahead, forecasting the next trend. But I have to be in the moment to create the future.

* BE GRATEFUL. I am. If you want to know what lucky feels like. Take a deep breath. xox
